Josie the Seahorse Crochet Pattern PDF

Josie the Seahorse lives in her very own castle of seaweed. She hosts tea parties for the local fish and enjoys decorating the seabed with sunken treasure. She is trying to teach synchronised swimming to the crabs, if only they’d pay attention and stop scuttling away…..


Josie measures approximately 8 inches / 20 cm in height using a DK weight yarn. However, she can be made from any weight yarn and appropriate hook for different sizes. This is an Intermediate pattern, but it is an easy pattern to follow with plenty of photos to help with tricky bits, and if you run into any problems you will always be welcome to contact me for any extra help. • Slip Stitch

• Increasing
• Decreasing
• Picot - This stitch is explained in the pattern

Materials needed:
• 50g of DK weight yarn in Main Colour - I used Gold
• 10g of DK weight yarn in Contrast Colour - I used Blue
• 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
• Small amount of coloured and white yarn (for crochet eyes option) or
• 2 x 20mm safety eyes
• Toy filling
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker
