Theo the Teddy Bear


 This is Theo, an adorable, cuddly teddy bear, sure to brighten up anyone's day! Theo measures about 7 - 8 inches sitting in a DK yarn, but he can be made from any weight yarn and appropriate hook for different sizes. It is an easy pattern to follow with plenty of diagrams and you will always be welcome to contact me for any extra help.
The instructions for this pattern are written in UK terms but if you are used to American terms, don’t worry, the differences are all explained in the pattern.

This is an Intermediate skilled pattern as stitches required include:

• Slip Stitch
• Chain Stitch
• Double Crochet (UK) Single Crochet (US)
• Increasing
• Decreasing

Materials needed:

• 100g ball DK weight yarn Main Colour (I used Brown)
• 50g ball DK weight yarn Contrast Colour (I used Beige)
• Small amount of yarn for nose
• 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
• 3.25mm (D) crochet hook (for crochet eyes option)
• Small amount of black and coloured yarn (for crochet eyes option) or
• 2 x 20mm safety eyes
• Toy filling
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker

  1. This is great! I'm going to be a dad and have been looking everywhere on google images for a teddybear for our little guy. This is by far the best I've seen so far. Is there a way I can buy one? I've never knit anything before.
